We were tasked with delivering strategic communications support to Unity Trust Bank, to help raise its profile across the growing social business sector. We developed the Unity story, built on its strong social values past but spelling out clearly the bank’s mission and vision for the future.
Our PR team created a strategy that refreshed Unity’s core messaging and involved managing proactive and reactive media opportunities across national, regional, trade and network media outlets covering social economy and business targets. We also designed a Twitter strategy for Unity to deliver in-house and supported the daily implementation of Twitter management and coordination over a specific 8-month period. In that time we grew followers by 66% and Unity now manages its Twitter feed with ad hoc support from our PR team. Over the years we have been commissioned to support other communications activity spanning design and copywriting for an advertising campaign, and film production such as the film we produced to celebrate the bank’s 30th anniversary. We worked up a punchy script that told Unity’s story – and then let the bank’s employees narrate it. What’s most striking in the final product is that Unity’s values and brand identity are clearly seen through their employees.
